There is a winery a mile or two off of the Renner/Crooks exit on I-29. You get off at exit 86, turn east, turn left at the first road, turn right on 257th. It's called Strawbale Winery. Not a problem! I've driven by a few times and thought about finding their number to see when they were open, then I saw your post, so I decided to look it up on Google. After looking at the site, I'm really itching to go! They look so cool! I'm thinking of getting some friends together to go to the Quilts & Vines thing on August 9th. Looks like it would fun. The Twilight Flights thing looks amazing too! Wonder how much that costs, probably expensive!
It says that it depends on the number of people... maybe group of ladies form here would want to go?

Ok after reading this post my husband and I went to Strawbale Winery Friday afternoon. Their open Thursday and Fridays 12-6. And Saturday 11-5. It is SOOOO much fun, and cheap I would recommend it to anyone! It cost $5 per person and you get to sample 5 different wines of your choice, then you also get the wine glass! They give you a tour of the place and its all made by hand, its really neat. Hope you all have fun if you decide to go, I know we'll be going out there again!

We only had time to go to Wilde Prarie and it was great! We took pulled pork and sat by the vineyard and had lunch. They let us sample for free the wines and then if you want to buy a glass you can but we just bought a couple bottles per person that went! It was wonderful and we will definitely go to the other one soon!

If you ever go to the hills try the Prairie Berry Winery. I LOVE that place. They let you sample 5 wines for free and they change all the time. We almost always leave with a bottle. I am going to have to check the local ones out!
Were actually from there! Igrew up about 20 miles away... yummy! It is great! There is also a great one in spearfish but I dont remember the name!

Has anyone ever been here? I was thiking about taking my family from out of town here because it will be my step dads birthday when they are ehre. I saw in the brochure that you can bring a picnic lunch and eat it there. Anyone done that?
Also what about any other ones in this area? I would prefer not to take the time to go to Volga and my parents have been there before... Thanks! Any input is much appreciated!
