I had been seeing Dr. Sietstra for years, and he is fantastic, but we have no vision plan on our insurance, so the last time I got an exam I called around town and got prices. An exam at Shopko was almost half the price of some of the fancier vision centers and the Dr there was great as well. Everyone at the ShopKo vision place was very professional and friendly. Did all the same stuff as at my old place.
If you get a prescription for glasses you can have it filled anywhere.

This is who We go through also! We like that we can fill the percription anywhere! So if somewhere has a really good special going on then we go there! I Have to go in for an eye exam soon, it will be my first time with him as a patient!

We go to dr. seistra as well, eye doctors is the business name off western ave. south of 57th. He is wonderful, love him!
I go to Dr. Brink at Sioux Falls Family Vision. I really like her. She is fun, nice and knowledgeable...and tries to save me money.
As for frames, as far as I know you can get your script from any OD and then fill it wherever you find frames you like.

I just went to Dr Jill Faulstichob located in Sam's Club and she was AWESOME!!!! PLUS in case anyone didn't know this (I DIDN'T KNOW, UNTIL Dr Jill told me!) YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A SAM'S CLUB CARD TO USE THE SAM'S CLUB OPTICAL OR THE SAM'S CLUB PHARMACY! AND SHE TOLD ME TO SPREAD THE WORD!
I had a bad experience at Angela Gulbranson a couple of years ago and desided since we moved that I would not go back to her. Plus Her office is soooo far from our new house it didn't make since to travel back there!

Dr. Lisa Kollis Young at Optics on Phillips Ave. downtown. She is wonderful, and so is her staff! They have a great selection of frames, etc.

I am looking for a eye Doctor for myself. Anyone got any suggestions? I was going to Dakota Vision but found that their frames seemed a little out of date and the selection wasn't the best. Thanks for your input!
