Dr. Madison and his nurses at Sanford Women's are amazing, but I'm not sure if he's taking new patients. It would be worth a phone call to find out. 328-7700 Good Luck and Congrats!

If you are up for using a Family Practice doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Meyer at the Sanford Clinic on Oxbow and 49th. I've used him for my whole pregnancy (and before) and he is just awesome.

I agree! I love Dr. McKay. She is very personable and never seems rushed. She's at McGreevy Main also. 336-2140

Dr. Amber Cohn at Sanford Womens~She is WONDERFUL!!
Always answered our questions, put us at ease and is a really good doctor and seems to really care about her patients and their families. We love her. She had a baby and is on maternity leave but I think she is back this month or next?

I would second that recommendation! Dr. Cohn was fantastic. She became my doctor at the end when my pregancy became high risk. If you are considering going the family doctor route, I would recommend Dr. Mark Rector at the Sanford clinic on 49th and Oxbow.

Dr. Cohn will be back at the beginning of August. I actually have my 1st ob appt with her on Aug 4th(for this baby)She was my ob for my daughter who is 14 mos. I like her too, but I am going to switch to Dr. Hermanson(she is on maternity leave until Oct) because of scheduling issues for me.

I would recommend Dr. Cynthia Davis at Independent Women's Care. She can deliver at both hospitals, she's great!

I go to Ashley Briggs @ Sanford Womens. I like her cause she's younger (35ish?) and easy to relate and talk to. I usually don't have to wait too long for my appt and they are very proactive. I had gest diabetes and although it was a pain at the time, I went in 2x a week at the end of my pregnancy for a non stress test and some other test to make sure baby was handling my meds ok..very reassuring!

I saw Dr. Kristen Hermanson at Sanford Women's. She is wonderful and takes the time to really discuss things. I was high risk with twins. She is also younger, which made it easier to relate to her. Good luck!

I see Dr. Landeen at Sanford womens. She was an awsome doc. It was my first baby and so I was pretty much clueless.

Elisabeth Dimitrivich is the best. She delivered all 4 of my girls. I love her. She really listened to what I wanted during preg. and labor and helped make it happen.

Dr Hasselbrooke-Johnson!!! Oh I loved her so much she is so laid back, and doesn't make you feel stupid for asking any questions, she does anything she can to make you feel comfortable! And he nurse is so awesome, Only suggestion is try booking her in the morning because she likes to spend time with her patients so therefore she tends to start running behind come the afternoon! she was my doctor for the first on and will be for the rest to come!

Ditto! Love Dr Hassebroek! She definitely spends a LOT of time with her patients, which is part of the reason I LOVE her. I'm a high risk patient too, so I either make the first appt or the one right after lunch! She's usally caught up from her morning by then! Good luck! There's lot of good OB's, and as you can see, we all love ours for different reasons! Depends on your personality too! Some people are comfortable and don't need to ask lots of questions, and other like me, like to know EVERYTHING, and we're not afraid to ask!

Good luck in your decision and congrats!!!

Dr Dimitrievich is the best! I miss being preggo because she took such good care of me. :) She has a small private practice which means it's quiet and peaceful and you usually get in pretty quickly. She takes all the time you need, she's very decisive so that made me really trust her judgement. Another great thing is that since she's independent she can deliver at Sanford or McKennan. I went to Sanford with Holly but I plan to go to McKennan for the next one.

We have Sanford insurance, but I've been going to Dr. Kim Pederson at McGreevy West since before my 2nd was born 14 years ago, and he was a wonderful OB doctor, and being in general practice he could take care of baby too. If you have an OB doctor, then you have to have another doctor for the baby. I wish someone would have explained that to me with my first one - I didn't find out about that until I needed to give them a name (on Saturday) of the doctor doing the circumcision (sp?) - oh, well. Anyway, back to topic, I still go to Dr. Kim, but have to pay 10% more to go because he's out of network. But he's worth it!!

I see Ashley and she is usually on time, afternoons and early am fill up fast but that is with any dr. I would think after your initial appt you could get in when you want b/c they'd be scheduled in advance. Good luck!

I have never had any problems with scheduling the ob appts, but Dr. Amber Cohn is only available MWF for appts. That is why I am switching when Dr. Hermanson. T-Th appts will work better for me.

I have used Dr. Jodi Scott from Mcgreevy Woman's Specialty Clinic. She and her nurses are AMAZING. She is extremely professional but yet very personal. She helped me through my post par tum depression and was generally concerned for me. I have yet to me an OB that is willing to go out of her way to help with something like that.

I had Dr. Weirda-Suttle for my OB doctor and she was really nice. She answered all my questions and was very informative. The only problem was it seemed like I had to wait a while and she was always behind no matter what time you made the appointment for. Dr. Ashley Briggs delivered me though and she was really good. I would recommend either of those doctors, like I said though with Weirda-Suttle you may have to wait a bit.
