I'm justing starting with my 2 yr old and I bought a cheap stamp pad and tinkerbell stamps. She gets a stamp when you uses the chair. You may want to also have their father get involved and show them 'how it's done" or give them some encouragement.
Thanks I have to find what interests them. Nothing at the moment. but thanks for the tips.
With my twins I use two identical potty chairs. They are always fighting over stuff.... so I made sure they couldn't tell the difference. I know I will NEVER win mother of the year... but what I am doing now as I am desperatly trying to get to them to go #2 in the potty... is I let them sit on the potty in front of the TV in the living room. We have had pee pee down for quite a while, but this poop thing is driving me crazy! My twins are 3 1/2. Hang in there.....I thought we would never stop buying diapers... but I haven't bought any since March.. YEA!!

Get two of those one piece potties (Once Upon a Potty type) that sit on the floor and require them to squat. They come up in the front so that little boys don't spray all over and are wonderful. I trained two boys and wish I had known about that potty from the start. Good luck :)
My son is 23 months and we are starting potty training too. He also hates the potty chair (as you can see I have 3 for sale on Moms Marketplace that he refused to use) I could get him to sit on one of them for quite a while in front of a movie...with his pants on...and then with a diaper, but never bare butt. Then we tried the potty ring that fits on the big toliet. He wants to sit on it every time we go in the bathroom! My MIL found one for her house at Target that even has the little cup in front for a boy. He has peed in the big potty three times now, but will sit on it often. I know we are quite a ways away from being trained (he has the sensation to go...but tells me about 2 seconds before he pees) but at least I feel like we are making headway! He is also enjoying it, and feels positive about it. Obviously it wouldn't work for both the boys at once...but maybe give it a try!

Hey, I love reading all the different topics you all talk about. You have some great advice on just about anything. So I thought I would give this a try because I am needing some advice. I have twin boys that are 22 months old. I am under the impression that they may be getting close to starting to potty train, however I am not sure. they both can take off their diapers and they grab at them when they are too wet. However, If I bring them anywhere close to the potty, they freak out. I have a little potty chair that sits on the floor and I have the one that sits on the seat. and I have tried both and they hate them. I do not want them to be scared of it, but the sooner I could get them trained the better. (diapers are soooo expensive) If anyone has some advice on how to get this done, or even get started let me know.
