Well Holly can't talk yet, but she gets really excited to see me at the end of the day when I pick her up from daycare. She doesn't do everyday but several times a week. She starts giggling, kicking her feet and moving her hands really fast until I pick her up and when I do, she grabs my face and gives me a slobbery "kiss". It's not a real kiss but oh my gosh it's the sweetest thing! I hope she never outgrows that!!!
I sooooooo remember and yearn for those days, unfortunately I also remember them at about 13 wanting to be dropped off a block or two from their destination so no one would see that their "MOM" dropped them off LOL Enjoy it while it lasts!

My nephew just did that to my mom. He asked her to take him to a dance, about half a mile away he told her to let him out! She asked why and he said he couldn't be seen in her car!!! Brat! LOL :)
I know - isn't that the most awesome feeling! It makes me not want this to be my last baby when I think about it. Hmmm... I could really use a girl!
I love it when my son-he's not yet two, just comes running over for a quick hug and kiss! That's pretty much a compliment. And when my opinionated 4 year old tells me, "Thanks, Mom, you're the best!" Compared to what I don't know, but I'll take it! Or when she tells me, "That's the most delicious meal you've made, thanks!" Makes me think I'll keep 'em around a little while longer! : ) And she's 4, so she wants to be "just like you". I'm sure that too will change all too quickly, and I'll start getting dumb and old fashioned before too long. Oh, I wish they'd stay little. Little people, little problems! : )
When I take the time to get myself "put together", my 4yo will say "Wow mom, you look pretty!"
Here's a good story revolving around the nightgown that my 2yo says "I like your shirt." as he plays w/ the buttons... I am big and pregnant right now and so needed some PJ's that would fit around this big bulge and keep me cool, but didn't want to spend much, so I picked up a couple sleep shirts at Walmart. I admit that I do look like I'm wearing a muu-muu (sp?), but people aren't supposed to comment on that, right!?! The one in particular says "Loving mommy" and has buttons for flowers and little shiny rhinestones around the words. I walked into the room where my husband was and he says, "Oh my... where'd you get that?...your grandma?" I said haughtily, "No, Walmart." and he says "It LOOKS like you got it at Walmart." hardy har har....Mr. Smarty Pants. I told him that at least my sons like it and really I'd rather have THEM all over me anyway!
A few nights later I came down the stairs w/ a similar nightshirt that was black w/ small white dots and hubby says "Oh wow, where's the funeral!", I replied "At Walmart." LOL

Whenever I wear a dress, not all that often, Brody, age 3, says I look like a princess. Wyatt, age 4, will then correct him by saying... no, she is just mommy. Oh well...at least one boy can be sweet :-)!Sandra
My 4 1/2 year old always tells me "Mom you are so beautiful!" The best feeling though is when she is in the middle of something and will get up and run over, give me a hug and kiss and say "Mommy I love you!" out of the blue.

Ok, my son who just turned 4 just looked me in the face and said, "Mom, you're soooo pretty!" And of course I was just like "aww....".
I shouldn't tell anybody that about a week ago the same child said, "Mom, your butt's really big!" Anyway....
What is the best, sweetest, or funniest "compliment" you've gotten from your kids?
