Bus Night Out!

   Submitted by Sommer on July 23, 2008 - 9:36am.

******UPDATE*****

Ok I think this is what we are planning, please reply to this post if you are FOR SURE going to come, we need to make sure of whom is going to participate since whomever is going has to pay their portion for the bus!

What: Party Bus Night Out
When: September 6th, 2008, meeting up at 7:00 at Lone Star on 41st Street for dinner and will be picked up by the bus following that, roughly around 8 or 8:30.

So far we have 13 people confirmed going so if that stays with 13, the price per person for the bus including tip for the driver will be roughly $26.16! Can't beat that for a night out on the town with the girls!

A few of us are staying in a hotel, but for those of you who are not, maybe see if you can car pool, that way there isnt as many cars to go pick up from Lone Star parking lot (or the streets next to Lone Star) the next morning.

If you want you can also meet us girls that are staying in the hotel at the hotel before dinner to get glamed up and then leave cars at the hotel as well!

The bus will drop you off at your house or at the hotel if you are staying with us!

I will be emailing more info around by end of week so please get your email addy to me ASAP! Thanks everyone!

Okay so I'm an idiot...what does 'bump' mean? The only significance it has to me is "Bump" is what I called Olivia before she was born. :)

When people post "bump", they do it just to bump the thread back up to the top of the recent posts. So most people just write "bump" instead of posting an actual reply. That is why some get creative with their bumping....like "bumpity bump bump", etc.

You most certianly can if you want. I was in talks with VIP limo, and figured the cheapest route to go was the forward facing 18 passanger van..

Before I call, I believe we decided to have the bus pick us up at 730. Where do we want to be picked up? Any preferences? A

I love minerva's . Never been to Tre. not a fan of Bracco. Lonestar would be fun. You know, it might be kind of fun to dress up, too. ?

I am cool for wherever to be picked up, are we eating dinner first I am assuming? Also you are aware that the bus is only 5 hours, there for if we are picked up at 7:30 we will have to be done and dropped off by 12:30! And if everyone is wanting to be dropped off at their own home we will have to leave whereever we are by like 11:00 to get everyone home by the time the bus is done with us!!! Thats why the guy at VIP suggested to be picked up at 9 and be done by 2! Oh and if anyone wants to glam me up I am all for it! I have a problem with only being able to make other people cute (hair makeup, clothes) but for some reason I fail time and time again on myself! We could always meet up before dinner at someones house and get ready, like we where truely going clubbin! :)

I know with the time. We were talking about it yesterday, and we're all kinda old farts that will most likely poop out by then anyhow. :)

Still if we meet up at someones house say 6:00, get ready, then head to eat around 7:00, finish eating and get picked up at whatever place say 8:00 then be home by 1:00??? Would that work for all you old farts?? ;)

I'm in. bus yes, hotel no. I'm another newcommer! As far as the dinner...I don't have alot and paying for the bus, drinks, etc. can add up. any way we can try to find a place a little cheaper than Bracco's? I want to go but I can't afford a hundred dollar night out.

I totally hear you about budget-mindedness. Here are my thoughts (my brain has finally woken up).

1.) The more people we get, the cheaper the bus will be. At last head count, we have 12 for sure, and another 2-3 that I'm going to work on. So for 12-15 riders, the bus will be between $19.60 and $24. I am also sure there are a few more ladies out there who would like to join us.

2.) Let's go to Lonestar. There is a really broad price range (I used to work there). You can get appetizers starting at $6 and Sirloins starting at $9.

3.) I believe you can BYOB on the bus, so if you want to, get your own drinks, bring a cooler and then just come into the bars for the ambiance and company.

4.) If it would work better for your wallet, just eat dinner on your own and then join us at the pickup place before we go.

I think it can be pretty affordable. You would have to drink ALOT at the bars to get the tab up to $100 for the night. And if you do spend $70 on booze in one night, you'll probably have bigger things to worry about...like a trip to the Emergency Room. :)

I hope this presents some budget-friendly solutions, I would love for you all to come. A
