i would call parks and rec some of the pools allow toys during Family Swim, so i would start there and see if that would be an option? or hey go buy a pool for the backyard!! LOL
But a moterized toy?? i would almost be possitive that they would not allow a moterized baby boat in a public pool.. And we live in an apartment so buying a pool is out of the question, otherwise i would have already had one by now

Maybe can you call your brother and say..."The more I got to thinking about the cool baby float toy you got Cole, I really don't know where he would even be able to use it at." I bet your brother didn't even know you can't use things like that at the pool. What guy even thinks of things like that...he saw it at the store, thought it was so cool and got it...did not think about when or where he would actually be able to use it. Also, I wouldn't just take it back without saying something to him and just hoping he doesn't find out...I would just tell him you want him to be able to get good use out of his gift and just don't think there is anyway for that to happen with this floatie and would feel bad if his gift went to waste so to speak. Also, you should probably get the reciept from your brother as a lot of these things are already clearanced in stores, so you want to get whatever he paid for it back out of it and not less. Maybe your brother wants to pick him out something else too if he knows the situation now on how this won't get used. I would suggest that...maybe you can take Cole to the store with your brother or give your brother the option of picking something else out or give him ideas, etc. Hope this helps...that is what I would do if I were you.

My son turned 1 on July 9th... is Party was postponed due too him getting sick with hand, foot and mouth with a added double ear infection (poor guy).. We are having his party this weekend.. My broter and Sister in law are unable to make it to his party, so them dropped off their gifts last night.. They ot him this reall cool walker thing that lights up and sings.. which he loves DEARLY!! But they also got him this BabyWave Moterized Float.. Below is the link that has a picture and things.. on top of the fact that it got HORRIBLE reviews, we do not have a pool and it can ONLY be used in pools... We thought it would be a GREAT toy for the lake cause it has this remote that the parents can control the "boat"... But we cnt use it in the lake because the dirt from he lake will clog and break the toy.. This was by brothers gift (they each picked one out to get him and gave him 2 gifts) he loved it and thought it was the coolest gift ever.. he was SUPER excited to give it to him.. But we have NO use for it what so ever.. we havenot taken it out of the box but we are worried about my brother being heartbroken that we returned his gift and picked something else out... What do you think?? What should i do?? I am at a loss... or does anyone have a big pool we could come swim in for the summer??!?!?! HA HA!!! Just kidding!!
